Its time to refresh my wedding photography portfolio since I have not put up any of my recent images.  Building a new portfolio requires a lot of time and energy because we, the photographers have to review thousands of images that were taken in the last couple years or so.  Choosing pictures requires special care since it promotes our wedding photography style and reflect our personality.  Most of the images that I will try to show here are taken in the Greater Toronto Area as well as Milton, Ontario Golf club and Barbados – a destination wedding. I hope you enjoy this presentation and get back to me with your thoughts.

Mariusz and Art are wedding photographers Toronto offering professional service for over 15 Years.  We both have a life time passion for photography that began during our teenage years.  After Mariusz has graduated from Ontario Collage of Art & Design University and Artur from Humber College they have opened a studio called Where Heaven Meets Earth ( we though it would work well with wedding business symbolically as Heaven stands for man and earth for woman).

Creativity in wedding photography

Initially most of our work was done with the medium format cameras – Hasselblad and its amazing lenses by Carl Zeiss.  The cameras although provided wonderful image quality were quite primitive in their construction in compression to today’s ultra fast focusing high tech photo equipment.  I think however, shooting with the early medium format film cameras forces the user to become more creative and light receptive.  By light receptive I mean seeing the light and the final image prior to exposing it – I think those who used these cameras will agree with this statement.  I have also state more creative as there were limits in terms of post production and the pictures had to compose and properly expose during the shooting stage.

Wedding photography style

Each wedding photographer offers different style as this reflects their personality and life experiences. Creating images is creating auto portraits -it’s a true statement as images are filtered through the photographers perception and acceptance. If one examines the large numbers of wedding photographers in Toronto, will noticed that most of them presents completely different styles, which in a way reflect their perception -what they see and feel inside.  We have been asked a lot of questions about our style, however addressing them is not simple as there are limited number of description one can come up with such as photojournalism, portraiture, illustrative and so on.  I think the style comes within and the best could be described as Mariusz’s style or Artur’s style although being partners and best friends for so many years there are a lot of similarities in our work.

Engagement photography Toronto

Angelika and Raymond contacted me last week about the engagement session as they love snow and though it would be a unique way of capturing their relation ship.  They have chosen Brampton’s Mount Pleasant Train station area.  This was quite active shoot as the couple is involved in sport activities and Raymond is a sport trainer by a profession.  The engagement session was finished off at the Mandarin restaurant to capture the wonderful Christmas lights on the ground. It was a stormy day and we did not know weather we will have a chance to shoot on the beautiful grands of Paper’s Golf Course.  We started the day in Hamilton at the Brides home for some getting ready pictures.  The Ceremony and the reception was hosted by Pipers Golf Course in Milton.  The photo session was done on the grounds of the club.  Please view Jessica and Richard wedding photography slideshow.

I have started the shoot at the ceremony place – Our Lady of Peace on Bloor St.  just east of 427. It was a wonderful warm spring day to have a wedding.  After the ceremony we drove to U of T  and did most of the pictures in and around University College.  The wedding reception took place at Sala Coboto banquet hall.  Please view Lida and Frank slideshow here.

Early spring wedding are unpredictable as the weather does not always cooperate!  While most of march was wonderful to shoot wedding, April became really cold!  So was Sunday April 22, the wedding of Paula and Jared.  I was a bit nervous how the bride will survive the chill, however she proved me completely wrong as there was not even one complain about her feeling uncomfortable being outside on UofT grounds and posing for photos.  It was wonderful to work with both Paula and Jared  that day!  The wedding ceremony and reception was held at Hazelton Manor in Vaughan.  Please view Paula and Jared wedding slideshow

Winter weddings are not my favorite due to the fact that there are limits to the places you can take pictures.  Great Hall at Union Station is one of the nicest places that one can consider for their winter wedding.  I have a pleasure to shoot wedding of Marta and Marcin at the Union Station.  The wedding ceremony has been celebrated at Maximilian Kolbe Church in Mississauga and the wedding reception Golden Lion Banquet Hall in Etobicoke.  Please visit Marta and Marcin wedding photography sideshow here

Here are some spreads samples from one of my wedding coffee table books that was currently designed.  Our wedding photographers tend to keep the layout of the books very simple in classic manner but at the same time try few artistic additions such as the background images or overlaps.  I think the wedding albums should be kept simple to put most emphasis on pictures that it contains rather than the effects and styling that may be used.  The books are printed and put together by couple of Italian suppliers our wedding photographers are currently dealing with.  Please visit our wedding photography Toronto website and contact us if you have any question about this posts, the photo albums, or the services and products we offer!

Q. Why is marriage is like a violin?

Marriages are made in heaven. Then again, so are thunder, lightning, tornados and hail.

Marriage is when a man and woman become as one. The trouble starts when they try to decide which one.

Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered to her mother, “Why is the bride dressed in white?”

“Because white is the color of happiness and today is the happiest day of her life,” her mother tried to explain, keeping it simple.

The child thought about this for a moment, then said, “So, why’s the groom wearing black?”
